Preparation
Preparation depends on the area being examined.
Our administration team will provide individual instructions when your appointment is booked.
Most customised ultrasound examinations require little or no preparation, although some studies may require:
- A full bladder
- Fasting
- Loose, comfortable clothing
- Bringing previous imaging for comparison
What Happens During the Scan?
Unlike routine ultrasound examinations, customised imaging begins with a careful review of your referral and clinical history.
Our sonographer and radiologist consider your symptoms, previous imaging and the specific questions raised by your referring doctor before tailoring the examination to your individual needs.
Depending on the clinical indication, the examination may include:
