Our Founders
Dr. Wen T Kan
Managing Director, in-house Radiologist
& Nuclear Medicine Specialist
Dr. Kan is a highly accomplished Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist with extensive expertise in cancer imaging, advanced diagnostic techniques, and healthcare leadership. He graduated from Monash University, and was awarded the prestigious King’s College London Guy’s and St Thomas’ Scholarship, which enabled him to undertake training in image-guided procedures in London.
He completed his radiology training at The Canberra Hospital, followed by subspecialty training in Nuclear Medicine at The Wollongong Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre, further honing his expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear imaging.
Dr. Kan has held several key positions, including RANZCR Director of Training, Director of Nuclear Medicine & PET, Clinical Supervisor at Launceston General Hospital, and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Tasmania. Renowned for his skill in CT and ultrasound-guided procedures, he has also mentored numerous radiology registrars and fellows, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and precision.
Driven by a vision to improve radiology standards and deliver patient-centred care, Dr. Kan founded IMPACT Radiology to move beyond corporate constraints and provide high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic services. With a particular focus on oncologic imaging, he combines advanced technology with collaborative leadership to elevate standards in diagnostic radiology.
Through IMPACT Radiology, Dr. Kan is committed to enhancing local medical imaging services—ensuring every patient receives exceptional care while contributing to the broader healthcare community through innovation, education, and leadership.
Mr David WOOLFE
Director, Senior Specialist CT radiographer
David is an experienced radiographer with over 50 years in medical imaging and a passion for raising standards in radiology. After a distinguished career in corporate healthcare, where he trained and mentored many radiographers to uphold excellence, David has returned from retirement to pursue his true calling—delivering patient-centred, high-quality radiology without the constraints of corporate medicine.
Now a proud partner at IMPACT Radiology, David is committed to prioritising quality over quantity, ensuring every patient receives the meticulous attention and care they deserve. With decades of expertise, he can now fully focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality, patient-centred radiology with integrity and precision.
